Pool Communities

You’ll find an excellent selection of master-planned communities in Colorado’s Front Range. The cities of Castle Rock, Castle Pines, and Parker, in particular, are home to communities that give you access to amenities of the highest caliber, including extensive pool facilities.

Many of Douglas County’s larger and more prestigious pool communities also feature an extensive range of other recreational facilities, including clubhouses, playgrounds, tennis courts, golf courses, and more.

Features and amenities

A pool community has a pool area or a swimming complex, usually with a clubhouse or a pavilion seating and lounge areas. Pools can vary in size, though most communities feature a junior Olympic pool.

Luxury communities will often have more than one pool. Aside from an Olympic-size pool where more dedicated swimmers can swim laps, they also typically feature a recreational pool, a wading pool, and a hot tub.

Terrain Castle Rock, for instance, has its own swim club that is exclusive to residents. Terrain Swim Club, a highlight of the community, was designed by Woodley Architectural Group. It features a clubhouse with an indoor gathering space, as well as a pool and deck area.

The Village at Castle Pines is another fine example – the Canyon Club features a kiddie and Olympic-size pool where residents can relax and have fun. The Summit Club, also located in the Village, has a pool with magnificent water features.

Pradera, a pool community in Parker, has a competition-size pool in addition to a spray play area and a gorgeous sun deck where families can unwind.

Perks of buying properties in a pool community

Pool communities are in high demand among buyers for the following reasons:

  • Lifestyle – When you invest in a home, you’re not just buying property. You’re buying a lifestyle. Investing in a pool community lets you enjoy an active lifestyle, one where you can swim laps and lounge poolside whenever you please.
  • Community events – Pool communities often throw themed pool parties, swimming competitions, and other events that bring people together. Buying in a pool community not only lets you pursue your interests, it also gives you plenty of opportunity to meet other residents and build meaningful connections.
  • Aesthetic appeal – A beautiful and well-maintained pool adds to the aesthetic appeal of the neighborhood, serving as a scenic backdrop for community events, parties, and more.
